Nykaa set to acquire Little Black Book
If you’re into beauty, cosmetics 💄, and fashion, you’ve probably shopped from Nykaa. The beauty retail company based out of Mumbai 🌃 is all set to acquire digital content platform 📱 Little Black Book (LBB) in an all-cash 💸 deal.
Little Black Book began as Delhi millennial 🤷🏻♀️ Suchita Salwan’s Tumblr blog 📝. It’s now the go-to guide for food 🍔, shopping 🛒, events, and travel .🧳
The acquisition will let Nykaa leverage LBB’s brand discovery 📈 and content delivery 🚚 platform. Also, Nykaa can use LBB’s creator network 🌐 to drive consumer engagement 🤳 and retention and to further scale operations.

Points you should remember while structuring your team:
Start with yourself: Be prepared to put on the leader’s hat and make tough decisions. You will need to analyze your strength 💪🏻 and weaknesses and identify what you bring to the table. You are responsible for ensuring collaboration.
Choose your team effectively: You need to choose/hire efficient candidates who would contribute something essential to the startup. Everyone on the team should have the same end goal 🎯 and a clear map of the proceedings.
There should be proper communication 🗣️ in the team. There must be deep mutual trust with the teammates, especially with the people up in the hierarchy.
Accountability: Treating people with respect is a two-way street 🤝🏻. The leaders need to hold everyone on the team accountable for their work and role. 💼
