Burn Rate- but wait...what is burning here ?...let's break it down.
Burn rate gives us an idea 💡of how fast a company is losing money💵. It is usually quoted in cash spent per month. In a sense, this term is synonymous with negative cash flow💰. It also indicates how fast a company is using up its shareholder capital.
Knowing and managing the burn rate of your organization is crucial in fund management, so if a company runs out of money, it will have to start making a profit, get additional funding, or inevitably close🔒down.
So, one can judge how crucial it is to have a good idea of the burn rate of your organization.
